Fuego is an adult men's team competing in the Open Division of various summer and fall leagues and tournaments. The team was created in 2008 to provide an organized opportunity for elite-level current and former college lacrosse players interested in competing during the off-season.
The team was formed by the coaches and administrators of the Tampa Bay Fire and provides competitive playing opportunities for Fire alumni; "friends" of the Fire such as coaches, parents, and fans; and other area lacrosse players with college-level skills interested in supporting the growth and development of Florida lacrosse.
An Annual Membership Fee is charged each player to cover the cost of uniforms, local league fees, and other related operating expenses. Tournament fees and related travel expenses are additional. The team offers coaching and administrative support to the players, but the overall objective is to let the players play and encourage them to use their team-based skills and knowledge to play the Fire's brand of up-tempo lacrosse.
