The Gold team is comprised of players who are rising sophomores, rising juniors, and rising seniors. Gold team participation represents the culmination of each player's elite / high school playing experience and development. Most recruiting contact and interest comes from playing on the Gold team. Players must be willing to make the maximum commitment to their development as this is the final step in the elite development process.
Players are expected to attend all practices and tournaments, and take a proactive approach and assume personal responsibility for their college recruitment activities. Of course, the Fire's coaching staff and recruitment service will provide individualized support throughout the development cycle, but the player is expected to take a leadership role in his recruitment.
Team officials announced today that Craig Lepiane, the Silver team's Head Coach, has been notified of his appointment to the coaching staff of Team Florida. The three-time All-American midfielder from Ithaca College, and assistant coach of Freedom High School's Varsity lacrosse program, will serve as the assistant coach to Bill Shatz, who is the Head Coach of Team Florida U-15.
Last year's Team Florida U-15 squad walked away with the tournament championships at the Chocolatetown Shootout in Hershey, PA and the Charlotte Fall Classic in Charlotte NC beating New York and Maryland powerhouses enroute to the respective championships at each high-profile event.
