The Tampa Bay Fire is proud to announce that US Lacrosse has selected three of its long-time players for High School All-American honors! Eric Dance, Defense, Freedom High School, Garrett German, Attack, Plant High School, and CJ Casselli, Attack, Plant High School, have been starters for the Fire’s Gold/U-19 team. Eric and Garrett have been playing for the team since its inaugural season in 2006. All three players have been heavily recruited by national colleges and universities and will be attending school in the Fall.
Eric will be attending DIII powerhouse and perennial national champion Salisbury College, Garrett will be suiting up for Florida State University and CJ will be playing for Florida this upcoming season. These players are the first to be recognized as High School All-Americans from the West Florida Lacrosse League.
As products of the Fire’s vaunted player development system, these players have demonstrated the positive effects of hard work, passion, and perseverance. Equally, each player has a strong academic performance track record in addition to their athletic accomplishments.
In addition to being West Florida’s only elite lacrosse team, the Tampa Bay Fire is the only off-season lacrosse program in West Florida to place high school lacrosse players into top colleges and universities. With this latest announcement, The Fire is also the only off-season team to contribute to the development of West Florida’s High School lacrosse All-Americans.
